Mobile phone hazardous for pregnant ladies

We have seen many a research that seems to indicate that link cellphones usage to cancer. But definitive evidence and hence action against using cellphones was missing.

The mobile phone, with its ubiquity and seeming inexpugnability, may now actually be on the run. It may not be easily discernable immediately but the signs are clear.

The states of California and Maine in the USA are now considering a treatment similar to cigarettes - which seems reasonable in one way considering that both cellphones and cigarettes cause cancer. They want cellphone companies to have warning labels on the cellphones - something like "Statutory Warning: Using Cellphones may cause neurological problems or brain cancer." Ms. Andrea Boland, State Rep in the state of Maine said that "cellphones increased the risk of brain cancer when help at the ear."

But the most shocking news was released a few days ago. A large scale research has now conclusively proved that it is dangerous for pregnant ladies to use mobile phones.

See the details here:

This news received widespread media coverage both in India and abroad. Even Tamil news outlets gave coverage to this - you can read the article here:

An important thing that this article said was this:
"Using a mobile or cell phone two to three times a day was enough to raise the risk of behavioral problems in children."

That means that even using the cellphone 2 or 3 times a day is bad for the baby. So pregnant ladies should not use mobile phones at all.
